INFINITE PEEP

2022, installation & performance, mixed media, 74 x 86 x 74 inches

Infinite Peep is an interactive re-imagined peep show booth inspired by historical peep shows, most notoriously those of 1970s Times Square. The freestanding structure is pentagonal with four peep holes, two at seated and two at standing height. Obscene slogans wrap the outside while the inside is adorned with mirrors, gems, flowers, and more. The project was created in collaboration with my mother, Anne Wu, and debuted at Practice Gallery in Philadelphia.

Rules: Be respectful of the performers. If the curtain is open, anyone may enter. If the red light is on, a show is ready and voyeurs may insert tokens or cash to reveal a world of wonder and salaciousness.

Infinite Peep is available for show, lease, and travel, and permanent sale.
